David Rohl’s Egyptian Chronology

I read David Rohl’s book “Pharaohs and Kings” while I was in college and I was excited by it. Let me remind you that at the time I knew nothing about Egypt and especially not about Egyptian chronology. I took his assumptions as fact because he had studied Egyptology in grad school and he seemed competent. However, it wasn’t long before I realized that his theories were a little off. While there are too many problems to mention in this blog, I do want to say that Rohl made conclusions based on negative evidence. He changed chronology that has been accepted for years without any real proof and that in my opinion was not scholarly.

I just wanted to add this short blog to advise people to think twice about Rohl’s book, “Pharaohs and Kings”. There are much better books out there on the same subjects.
